I. Application and Function:

Surge Arrestor can be equipped after the (Front) Tee Connector or Coupling Connector.

It is designed to protect medium voltage components, including transformers, equipment, cable and accessories from high voltage surges resulting from lightning or switching.

II. Characteristics:

i   This Surge Arrester is a metal oxide varistor surge arrester in an elbow configuration.

ii  Each Surge Arrester is tested for AC withstand and partial discharge prior to leaving the factory

iii. Synchronized manufacturing technique and EPDM prescription with America

iv. 13 years experience and 200,000pcs performance experience

v. Compact bolted structure which can save room and is convenient to operate .

III. Size: Sections from 35 up to 120 mm²

IV. Material: The main material of the Cable Connectors is high quality EPDM rubber.        Characteristics of EPDM: Withstand the bad weather, anti-aging, perfect  electric  insulativity  and anti chemical corrosion.

1. Conductive EPDM insert

2. Conductive EPDM jacket

3. Insulating EPDM layer molded between the insert and the jacket

4. Conductive Connecting Rod

5. Earth lead

6. Earth connection

7. Quartz Mixture (Filling)

VI. Applied Standard: The BBE-26/65 Surge Arrester meets the requirements of CENELEC EN 50180 and 50181,DIN47637 and IEC60502.
